I launched Tucson Love Letter three months ago on Oct. 2, but I never got to truly celebrate — until now.
Join me on Saturday, Feb. 7 for the launch party of my dreams featuring about a dozen local vendors, a photo booth by June Hucko, food by Herculean Chicken, coffee by Pretty Coffee and a donation drive supporting I Am You 360. Expect free snacks while supplies last AND a free craft station.
It all takes place noon to 3 p.m. at the lovely Di Luna Candles, 2700 N. Campbell Ave. Free to attend, no RSVP necessary. 🙂
Vendors, food + crafts
- Beads Over Diamonds — beaded jewelry in lots of colors and patterns
- Coy Creative — funky statement jewelry like monsoon-shaped earrings
- Dirty T Tamarindo — all your favorite candies covered in chamoy

- June Hucko — the best photo booth you’ll ever see, featuring polaroids and junk journaling-esque backgrounds
- Kitsch Mood — soaps and candles in the shapes of cutesy bears and mini cakes
- Luna & Saya — whimsical statement earrings and bolo ties
- Magnolia Street Soap Mill — all-natural bars of soap, including one that’s shaped like “A” Mountain
- Planet Gabu — one-of-a-kind apparel with a vibe that’s maybe a little existentialist, maybe a little punk, maybe a little absurd
- Pretty Coffee — mobile espresso bar and bakery (the cafe de olla latte is a bestseller)
- SoGayCrocheT — tons of crocheted plushies, plus a portion of the proceeds is donated to mutual-aid groups
- Sonoran Rosie — skincare products made from hand-foraged plants
Also expect free vegan ube cookies by Ate Kei’s Filipino Treats, free empanadas from Empanadas El Dominicano and maybe a few other free snacks while supplies last. 🙂
In the love letter spirit, I’ll also have a free craft station set up where you’ll have the chance to design or decorate your own postcard and I’ll mail it out! 💌 (Biggest of shoutouts goes to Di Luna’s Gabrielle for the postcard idea!!)
The donation drive
I Am You 360 is a Tucson nonprofit supporting vulnerable youth, especially those who have aged out of foster care. The organization offers a small home experience and a hygiene empowerment program amid other resources. Please bring a donation to support their mission! They’re in need of:
- African American haircare
- body wash
- lotion
- deodorant
- shampoo
- conditioner
- toothpaste
- toothbrushes
- baby products (body wash, lotion, powder, wipes, diapers)
- lip balm
- skincare
- combs/brushes

What is Tucson Love Letter?
Tucson Love Letter is a community-first publication that helps you explore the magic of Tucson all while working collaboratively with small businesses. The very website you’re reading right now has stories about the people and places that make Tucson so special. You’ll also find a months-long event calendar and a database filled with community spaces.
I envision a Tucson where you’re never bored, a Tucson where you find your community, a Tucson where small businesses are supported.
